Morey Evans Earns Judge's Choice Award For Good Times Work

For the second time in the past three years, Morey Evans Advertising was honored with a Judge's Choice Award for its Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard advertising campaign at the Denver Advertising Federation Annual Award Show. The competition was held yesterday at the Pavilions Theater complex in downtown Denver.

The radio campaign, which also received eight other individual awards ranging from Bronze to Gold in the competition, features a fictional spokes-character, The Good Times Director of Global Expansion, whose tongue-in-cheek mission is to enhance the small restaurant chain's ability to compete against the big national burger brands.

The Judge's Choice Award was given specifically to three commercials that introduced the "No-Music Jingle" to promote Good Times Buck Burgers.

"Our advertising peers agree with the Good Times customer-base at large, it seems," notes Creative Director, Tom Evans. "This character may be one of the most popular advertising icons in recent Colorado history."

The campaign was also used to introduce frozen custard to the Good Times brand, an unusual task for a radio-only media barrage.
