PRESS RELEASE

Ricochet Networks Advertising Campaign Breaks in Denver

Ricochet Networks, Inc., based in Denver, launched its inaugural advertising campaign from Morey Evans Advertising.

The campaign includes outdoor, transit and radio advertising, as well as direct marketing and door to door neighborhood-centered tactical elements. In addition, a complete merchandising kit of marketing materials is available for channel and agent partners such as Car Toys, which retails Ricochet modems in several of its Denver-area stores.

In a sea of complex technology sales propositions, the Ricochet advertising strategy is to exude friendliness and simplicity. Almost all of the work features the Ricochet high-speed wire-free modem with its wireless antenna up and a simple headline. The launch line is "Want High-Speed Internet? Raise Your Hand." Others are just as disarmingly simple, such as "Fear No Email Attachment" and "Plug One End Into Your Computer. There Is No Other End."

"Everyone thinks of a wireless communications product as a mobility sell," states agency President Glenn Morey. "But the truth is, it makes a lot more sense to position Ricochet as the perfect alternative to other broadband options for a desktop computer, which still represents the vast majority of new computer sales."

As a result, the agency has avoided overt messaging about mobility, and focused more on speed and applications. "Download Phat Music Files Really Phast" is the headline on a cross-sell piece provided to retail partners.

Pricing at $44.95 retail also makes the product extremely viable for the home market, not just the mobile professional. "In many areas, DSL costs more than that, if one can get it at all," points out Mr. Morey.

While the launch is consumer focused for now, future advertising will target business customers as Ricochet products are developed specifically for that market's needs.

Morey Evans designed the user interface for the company's website as well, which is a transactional site on which users can purchase Ricochet modems and service, as well as check the Ricochet coverage area.
