With titles ranging from VP to President and CEO, Mort has raised over $5B in investment capital; restructured Aerie Networks to purchase for less than 1% of the original cost and redeploy Metricom (Ricochet); negotiated a 20,000-mile right-of-way deal with 14 of the nations largest pipeline companies; led the buyout of KN Energy's telecom start-up from Kinder Morgan; led all aspects of strategy, investment and management of KN Energy's (now Kinder-Morgan Energy) move into unregulated businesses; re-imaged KN Energy as it became the 6th largest integrated US energy company; deregulated the first utility company in the US and won regulatory approval to launch the industry's first consumer product bundling company, en able.; masterminded MCI's highly successful Business Markets channel strategy deploying over 8500 sales and services reps while utilizing mass-market, direct, wholesale and alternate/affinity channels; designed industry leading contract, marketing and sales programs for MCI's large account business, driving growth to equal market share with AT&T.
